Maybe, the Old Man thought it was a function of age.

After all, Meat Loaf was 74; he trails by three.
If there is one thing he still recalls was the era of the 1970s.
1977 was a pivotal year for him.
He was married at 19 to get away from home; he was eight years into a “friendship.”
There was no understanding of marriage, yet an understanding of needs.
Two young people need to get away from stressful family situations; a marriage provides the opportunity to explore sexuality and grow into adulthood.
Two years later, in 1979, the Old Man and the “Practice Wife” amicably walked into new futures.
He took “Bat Out of Hell” and his love of Meat Loaf’s music with him to a basement apartment in Knoxville.
And all these years later, he still listens to a cranked volume of “Paradise in the Dash Light.”
The Old Man never met Meat Loaf, but his music saved him from his own PTSD.
“Wado” Meat Loaf, maybe on the other side?
