Clearly, There Are Miracles
While most young people don’t hesitate to jump into bed before marriage, Mari and Nate mutually agreed not to consummate their love until after they wed.
They had met in October 2021 while students at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. Together, they prayed nightly.
In December 2022, they became engaged.
They married on October 28, 2023.
The couple mutually chose that date to avoid Mari conceiving on their wedding night.
On their wedding night, they stayed in their apartment.
They drove to Miami the next day, enjoying the weather and their adventures as a newlywed couple.
The next day, they flew to St. Lucia, a picturesque island in the Caribbean.
The couple gathered their beachwear the following day, and Nate went water skiing while Mari watched from the beach.
It seemed perfect.
However, minutes later, Nate would receive CPR. Despite repeated attempts to revive her husband, Nate died from drowning on October 31st.
They had been wed three days.
At Thanksgiving, amid still much grieving, Mari revealed she was pregnant.
Mari said in a July Instagram post, “God had a plan bigger than anything we could have ever imagined. He answered our prayers and prayers of others worldwide, just in a different way than we had expected, but still the GIFT OF LIFE; the miracle we are so overjoyed to share with you all finally.”
Raphael Patrick Kuhlman is a miracle little boy.
God had a bigger plan, it seems.
Welcome, Raphael, and thank you for showing us miracles still happen.
