Linda Ronstadt was whispering Blue Bayou in her sultry voice and saying how some day she would come back. I was already there in Blue Bayou nursing a Scotch and enjoying a bowl of Sir Walter Raleigh in one of my favorite pipes.
The bar was not even close to the capacity of 25 people at the Howard Johnson’s that Saturday afternoon in Biloxi, Mississippi and my mind well it was miles away. I was looking to take away the hurting inside myself that day.
